About Us and Our New Mission Focus: A Quick Overview
Our 33-year-old IRS-approved 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, Factnet, operates several unique websites, each with distinct yet interconnected educational missions. Together, our four main websites, Universe Institute, Job One For Humanity, the Way of the Universe, and the Universe Spirit, will offer a complete educational and action pathway from:
a. Preparing for, adapting to, and mitigating the climate change emergency to,
b. Educating about the growing global Polycrisis to,
c. Teaching basic to advanced rational thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills to,
d. Encouraging and assisting in building local resilience systems to,
e. Designing and supporting new sustainable economies to,
f. Promoting action on the many needed and correct polycrisis remedies, to
g. Teaching how to expand inner resilience and personal existential depth, and which, all of the above collectively lead to,
h. Moving our current civilization toward a just, sustainable and equitable Great Rebirth and renewal which truly supports the common well-being of ALL members of the human family.
The vision above is powerful, unusually integrated, and probably too large for ordinary people to grasp unless it is turned into a very simple ladder: Face reality → think better → prepare locally → act ethically → build the Great Rebirth → deepen personal meaning.Why this New Mission Focus and Great Rebirth Vision?
Humanity is entering a dangerous and difficult transition period. Climate change, ecological overshoot, political instability, resource limits, economic fragility, technological disruption, and other major global factors are now converging into what we call the global polycrisis.
Most people can feel something is wrong, and one or more factors of the global polycrisis are getting worse. Many people can also see that there is no central, single, or effective transnational governmental management of the global polycrisis and that one or more factors of the global polycrisis are getting worse at faster rates
Far fewer people have a clear or complete map of what is happening in this polycrisis, how to think rationally about global polycrisis solutions, how to prepare for its serious, and now unavoidable, consequences, or how to preserve hope for a better future without denial.
Our new vision humbly seeks to provide the education and support necessary to survive and thrive through this global transitional period amid the severe and unavoidable consequences that will unfold worldwide over the next 15 to 25 years.
Together, our four in-development websites below will eventually offer a complete pathway from global polycrisis awareness, to better rational thinking, then to the necessary emergency preparation and adaptation, to philosophically more effective survival-critical actions, and from more effective survival-critical actions to a non-denominational exploration of life's existential questions for deeper personal integration and personal strength building, all of which will hopefully lead to humanity’s possible new Great Rebirth after humanity passes through a widespread transitional global systems collapse.
While our primary goals are to help preserve the cycle of life for the future and bring about a post-transition Great Rebirth far from the polycrisis problems we face now, we are particularly focused on helping ordinary citizens who would not normally encounter the four levels of essential information on our four websites. Billionaires know it's coming and have their secret bunkers.
Many high-level politicians and military officers have been briefed on the accelerating polycrisis and told that they and their families will be safe and secure, and that they will be placed in special emergency government programs designed to preserve the structure of a working government as the government's first priority.
In a national or international emergency, citizens of those countries will be left to fend for themselves, mostly or entirely. Governmental and military structures and personnel will always be secured first, even if it means abandoning the nation's citizens.
Why is our effort to provide the complete ladder of “survive and thrive” information critical?
What is missing is the correct and complete ladder knowledge, courses, and support for the average citizen, so they, too, will survive and thrive. They are the ones most exposed who will be harmed far more than billionaires, politicians, and that nation's military as the global polycrisis worsens.
The value of our mission lies in this unique, comprehensive focus on preparing average citizens to survive and thrive amid what is coming. While there are about a dozen other organizations that provide one or two of the necessary elements of collapse preparation and recovery education and support, our organization is the only one that provides ALL needed educational elements.
Below is more information on the four distinct types of education and action needed for a successful, widespread post-collapse transition to a better world. Each of our websites below focuses on one area of the necessary education and action.
Our Four Main Websites:
The Universe Institute first helps people understand the global polycrisis. Next, help individuals learn or expand their basic rational-thinking skills, their advanced systems-thinking analysis skills, and the DMAP (Dialectical Meta-systemic Analysis and Problem-solving) needed to respond wisely to the challenge of addressing this very complex polycrisis.
It is estimated that only 4 to 6% of adults in the United States have even the most basic rational thinking skills. Worldwide, it is as low as 2-3%. Unless humanity becomes more rational, it is unlikely it will be able to solve the polycrisis.
The unique role of the DMAP skill is that it is a new analysis and problem-solving technology far superior to system theory, which it does utilize but far transcends. This new DMAP methodology is critical to understanding, resolving, and untangling the intense complexity of the many problems facing humanity in the global polycrisis.
The Universe Institute is also completing a one-year analysis of why humanity, after 10,000 years of civilization, is still so dysfunctional. This 10,000-year study, with its solutions, is critical to the work of another of our websites: the Way of the Universe philosophy. There have been well over 50 different philosophies developed by humanity over the last 10,000 years. The purpose of each of these new philosophies was to address a serious problem that had gone unsolved in that population and that previous philosophies seemed unable to fix.
The Universe Institute also offers solutions to other parts of the global polycrisis, including better methods for training human-friendly, socially, emotionally, and intellectually advanced, self-conscious AI that could possibly even protect us from harmful AI.
Job One For Humanity provides practical, detailed guidance on the climate change emergency and on polycrisis survival, adaptation, resilience-building, and migration. It also encourages massive and immediate global reductions in fossil fuel use, but because of 60 years of failure in that area, we have to prepare for consequences we can no longer avoid.
Way of the Universe offers a new, evolutionary philosophy for right action, right attitude, cooperation, responsibility, and ethical rebuilding. This philosophy is based solely on core principles of successful evolution and science and is specifically designed to help resolve the unique problems posed by the global polycrisis facing humanity today. Drawing on the causes and solutions of the Universe Institute's 10,000-year study on humanity’s continuous dysfunctionality, the Way of the Universe offers a new philosophy, solutions, and ways of acting that will effectively address today's global polycrisis and help create the Great Rebirth.
Universe Spirit offers a safe, non-coercive, non-authoritarian space for the self-directed exploration of life’s deepest existential questions, consciousness, the Origin of the universe, and deeper personal meaning and purpose. It provides an extensive listing of the proven safeguards for safe spiritual self-exploration.
While the educational work done at Universe Spirit may be the last on most people's global polycrisis educational survive and thrive list. It is one of the most important factors for surviving and thriving through what is coming.
Having deep personal “roots” full of meaning, connection, and healthy answers to the deepest existential questions about life, consciousness, the origin of the universe, etc., gives one the critical last element absolutely essential to successfully and wisely endure and persist through the many losses, sacrifices, and suffering that the survivors of the global polycrisis will need to endure to reach even the possibility of helping to create the Great Rebirth of humanity.
Funding and Staff
After we receive initial funding to complete the needed upgrades across these four websites and bring on several additional staff members, we will invite the public to begin our four-website educational course process and invite serious volunteers to help us build, improve, share, and preserve this work.
We are currently looking for volunteers and members committed to improving themselves, thinking more clearly, protecting life, reducing suffering, building resilience, and helping seed a wiser future. We are also looking for members and volunteers who also want to build the deeper identity of Evolutioneers and Universe Citizens: people who recognize that their responsibilities extend beyond nation, tribe, ideology, and generation to the whole Earth community, future generations, and the larger unfolding universe.
What We Are Not
Our new Great Rebirth vision is not a belief system demanding obedience. It is not a cult, a political party, or a personality-centered movement. It is an educational and voluntary service path for people who want to help humanity honestly face the now unavoidable and harsh consequences of the global polycrisis, prepare wisely, act ethically, and preserve the seeds of a better future.

We are a culture of right action, not passive concern. We practice an evolutionary philosophy of responsibility, cooperation, ecological care, compassion, courage, service, and commitment to future generations.
We are a culture of identity, not superiority. Evolutioneers and Universe Citizens do not claim to be better than others. They accept greater responsibility: to evolve themselves, protect life, serve the future, and help seed humanity’s Great Rebirth.
We are a culture of healthy boundaries, not cultic dependency. No person, teacher, founder, website, organization, ideology, or spiritual claim owns anyone’s conscience. Participation is voluntary. Questions are welcome. Leaving is allowed. Disagreement is not betrayal.
We honor those who tell the truth, reduce suffering, improve their thinking, prepare wisely, serve life, protect the vulnerable, build trust, repair harm, and help others become stronger, freer, wiser, and more capable.
We are a culture of personal spiritual exploration, not spiritual control. We provide safe, non-coercive spaces for exploring the existential questions of life, consciousness, the Origin of the universe, and the possibility that the Origin of the universe may also be present within us as our deepest nature.
Our culture exists to help people move from fear to courage, from confusion to clarity, from isolation to cooperation, from denial to preparation, from despair to disciplined hope, and from collapse toward the possibility of a Great Rebirth for humanity.
Why You Should Consider Becoming a Co-Creative Member or Volunteer
You do not need to be an expert to begin learning what you must do to survive and thrive. If you want to become a member or a volunteer, you do need to know and align with our mission; be sincere, reliable, humble, respectful of evidence; maintain healthy boundaries; and be willing to learn.

The Current Status of our Four Websites' Upgrade Plan
We will post our complete four-website upgrade plan on this website in the near future. Executing the above-described massive upgrade will depend entirely on securing substantial additional financing and hiring new team members to support specific areas of web development, administration, marketing, fundraising, and related functions. With our current staffing level and finances, we are unable to implement our new vision.
While the Job One for Humanity website is mostly complete in its climate change information, it has not been updated to reflect its new, refined mission, and many pages need to be simplified for a general audience rather than the scientific community. The Universe Institute website needs to complete its three basic, intermediate, and advanced rational-thinking guides, as well as several large research projects and new white papers that will help inform actions on other websites.
The Way of the Universe website is in the early stages of construction, and its public launch depends entirely on the completion of research at the Universe Institute. The New Universe Spirit website is in the middle of a major mission refocusing and the organized transfer of almost 1,000 pages of materials from its 20-year-old website to the new website. This is a huge undertaking, about 15% complete. Additionally, the major mission upgrade at the Universe Spirit website also depends on research being completed at the Universe Institute. Because all of these websites are undergoing major upgrades, your patience in reviewing them is appreciated.

Our Initial Funding and Staffing Targets Needed to Launch our New Mission Focus and Great Rebirth Vision
To begin our new Great Rebirth mission and vision, the following are the minimum targets we must meet to actually start the process: funding between $250,000 and $400,000, and adding at least 2 to 3 paid staff. To start with, any lack of funding and staffing would prevent us from effectively beginning or completing the work and launching the new mission website to the public.
